Privacy Policy

Effective date: January 1, 2025  ยท  Last updated: January 1, 2025

Overview

PassGREGMAT ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with the PassGREGMAT mobile application and website located at passgregmat.com.

The short version: we do not collect personal information. The PassGREGMAT app is designed to work fully offline. All your progress data is stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults (or equivalent on-device storage). It never leaves your device.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:

2. On-Device Storage (UserDefaults)

All app data โ€” including which words you have reviewed, your swipe history, your daily streak, and your settings โ€” is stored exclusively in iOS UserDefaults (on iPhone/iPad) or equivalent on-device storage on other platforms. This data:

3. Usage Data and Analytics

The current version of PassGREGMAT does not integrate any analytics SDKs (such as Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar). We do not track how you use the app, how many sessions you complete, or which words you study.

If we ever add analytics in a future version, we will update this Privacy Policy at least 30 days before the change takes effect and will provide an opt-out mechanism.

4. Third-Party Services โ€” Images (Unsplash)

The PassGREGMAT app and website display word-illustration photos sourced from Unsplash. These images are served from Unsplash's content delivery network. When your device loads an image from Unsplash, Unsplash's servers may receive your device's IP address as part of a normal HTTP request. This is standard internet behavior and is governed by Unsplash's own Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store this data.

Future versions of the app may bundle images locally to eliminate this network request entirely.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The PassGREGMAT website (passgregmat.com) does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking scripts. We may use session-only cookies for basic functionality if future interactive features require it. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

6. Email Waitlist

If you voluntarily provide your email address through our Android / Web launch waitlist on the website, that email address is stored securely for the sole purpose of notifying you when those platforms become available. We will never sell, rent, or share your email address with any third party. You may request removal from the waitlist at any time by emailing hello@passgregmat.com.

7. Children's Privacy

PassGREGMAT is designed for students preparing for graduate-level admissions exams and is therefore intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at hello@passgregmat.com and we will take steps to delete that information.

8. Data Security

Because we do not collect or transmit your personal data, there is no central database of your information that could be breached. Your study data lives only on your device, protected by your device's own security (Face ID, Touch ID, passcode).

9. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal information, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete on our end. If you wish to delete all app data, you may:

Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom who have submitted their email to our waitlist have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of that data by contacting us at hello@passgregmat.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice (such as an in-app notification or email if you have joined our waitlist). Continued use of the app after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
